se noyer (to drown) is a photography project done by Dylan and Ralph Ledesma. It contains four series of visuals with it’s corresponding backstory.
Have you ever felt the struggle of drowning? Helpless, slowly being shrouded and eaten by what life is throwing at you? My brother and I had these thoughts turned into visuals. A half-filled bathtub, a cigar, a lighter, a glass, a bottle of wine and a character of a wasted, troubled youth was all it took for us to visually represent pain, not the typical but the pain that is conveyed through masking and hiding the feeling itself but the story of his soul is bore through the eyes. A person may seem happy and living the life but have you looked through his eyes? Have you seen the pain from within? No. Not yet. He is drowning. homme en train de se noyer. In deep, unending pain.
